Zesty Gyros and Deli in Grand Rapids

Fast service, the food was great, and the staff were very friendly.

It's been a while since I've eaten here and I had forgotten how tasty it was! The Shawarma sandwich I chose today was stuffed with tasty chicken chunks and served quickly. Priced reasonably, too. I only dock them a star because their delicious, fresh salads are only available in a large portion - I'd like to be able to add a smaller version to my lunch. Overall, a pleasant experience, I'll look forward to eating here again soon.

Food is tasty, and well portioned. Staff is very friendly. Restaurant is spotlessly clean. The plastic forks and knives won't "cut it" if you catch my drift. Outside of that, it is a 5 star.

Best Gyro in Grand Rapids! Zesty Gyro is location off of East Beltline, next in Knapp Corner Meijer. They have punch cards for buying gyro buy 10, 11th free. I've been coming here for 2.5 years. Gyros are $9.95, they come with a bag of Lays potato chips or Doritos. Coke products fountain pop, or they have a cooler with various other refreshments like bottled water or Gatorade. Greek salads are legit and delicious as well. Very authentic greek cuisine, operated by mom and pop. Large hand sanitizer bottles at entrance. 5 Stars!

I always enjoy a gyro from this spot. Take out or dine in it’s always great. Very friendly staff and great service.

The Greek gyro platter is amazing! The owners and staff are among the most friendly and amazing that I’ve ever encountered in a dining experience. I’m not often on this side of town but when I am I make sure to stop in.

Fast and delicious

This place has some good Hummus! I wished I'd gotten the larger size. As for the gyro, it was good but their cucumber sauce was dull with no flavor. It was kinda runny. Unfortunately, the hummus isnt good enough to have me drive across town for it.

I have gone to this restaurant twice and both times were wonderful. The staff is so very friendly and polite and the manager is very welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. The portions are wonderfully big. I ordered the Black Castle platter for lunch and had enough left over for dinner. Their food is skilfully seasoned. The meat on the Black Castle is really tender and juicy. I normally only eat salad when cajoled into doing so but I couldn't stop eating my Greek salad. It paired perfectly with my meat and rice. Their hummus is so smooth and creamy. I'm a titch picky about hummus but I would eat theirs off a shoe. I also was pleasantly surprised by their grape leaves. I'm not a big grape leaves fan, but theirs are tender and not too sour. The atmosphere is super casual, but the place is very clean and well kept. I would recommend this restaurant to friends and family without hesitation. It is one of my favorite places in town.

Excellent salads, wraps and gyros. The sauces and dressings are made in house and enhance the dishes. Love the fresh sumac in the fattoush salad.

Nice, convenient, delish... But I thought the gyro bowls are missing more magic. I felt like I was eating mostly lettuce, which felt more like left over Big Mac lettuce than anything. The bowl cost a little less than $9 if I remember correctly, so it's still a low-cost way to pretend like you're eating Greek. No hard feelings to the staff, who seriously is awesome.

I'm new to the area and I just started a new job close to the restaurant. It was my first time here so I didn't know what to expect, but the food far exceeded my expectations. I ordered the gyro platter and for the amount of food you get the price is phenomenal. I will definitely be going back.

I stopped in for my first time and ordered the chicken kabob with no rice, but extra salad. The woman behind the counter was very kind, lovely in fact. The food was produced quickly and I was delighted with the value and the quality of the food!! The salad was fresh! The hummas was “best I’ve ever tasted” good! And the chicken was moist, flavorful, and generous in portion. I will be back!! I might ask for a little less chicken and more of the scrumptious peppers, onions, and tomatoes! 😋

Delicious, fresh food. Obviously a family run place. The lady who greeted us was so friendly. Treated us like family. We were just stopping in for a bite but we will make it a point to stop by here when we're on the way through GR. I had the Zesty Gyro. Wife had the chicken shawarma platter, my son had the chicken gyro. All were just excellent!

I've been coming here since you opened. I love all your sandwiches. the Gyros are good, but used to be better? Not sure what changed. Got a greek salad for the first time last night.......ummmm not much more than lettuce, It was a disappointment to say the least

Stopped here and had the Chicken Gyro.... OMG SO GOOD!! Awesome staff great quality meat and ingredients everything seemed fresh. Just had it for dinner tonight and it was so good I have already told a doz or more people about it! Cant wait to go back!!

I ordered the lunch gyro plate, and or was enough for two, easily! The gyro meat, rice, and hummus were particularly good. The pita was a bit more flat and tough than I like, but the flavor was alright. It's a very tiny place, not much seating. Clean and in good repair. The staff was very friendly and cheerful. The price is great for how much you get

Fantastic food and a wonderful staff. They use cut chicken breast instead of the weird sliced chicken meat some other gyro places use. Loved it! Will be visiting again soon the next time I’m on that side of town.

This is one of the few truly mom and pop eateries. Only place to get a great panini within several miles too!

First time here, super friendly service and great food. I had the Zesty gyro which was large and full of all the right flavors. My fiance had the bbq chicken wrap that was just stuffed full of chicken. Will definitely stop here again any time we're in the area.

Love love love Zesty Gyros! They have some of the best Greek food I've ever had. I love the authentic taste to their food. You can tell they know how to cook! And of course, the staff is friendly and they play the best radio station in Grand Rapids!

I literally just had the best Chicken Caesar wrap I've had in my life from this place. I am not normally around the area and wanted something a little more healthy than fast food. I had the zesty gyro, first option on the menu and it was delicious. A homey atmosphere is made by the family working the grills and register. Clean tables and lovely service. I will definitely be back to try some more of the menu.
